Professor María Jesús García García has joined the DIGIPOL research group as a collaborator to help develop the line of research dedicated to the Jean Monnet Module for Citizens’ Integration into European Union Democracy (101047164 -- CitEUdem), which she heads and which has been allocated to her in the framework of the European Union’s Erasmus + Programme 2021.
The research of Professor María Jesús García is focused on the study of new forms of citizen participation brought about by the use and development of new digital technologies and their impact on the strengthening of the democratic rights of European citizens.
By joining this research group, the Head of the Jean Monnet Module intents to create synergies with other researchers, as well as develop connects and establish research networks in order to increase the production of research results in the area of digital technology and democracy.
