Lines of research
- General lines of research:
- Older people as subjects of rights. Older people are subjects of rights, not only passive citizens and beneficiaries. They therefore enjoy the same guarantees as other people and have the responsibilities towards themselves, their family and their society.
- The fundamental rights of older people. Fundamental rights take on a specific profile when the concerned people are considered “in a situation of vulnerability”. This is the case with older people.
- Ageism and discrimination. Older people are subject to stereotypes and prejudices that lead to discrimination in violation of human rights. This line of research analyses the relationship between stereotypes and discrimination.
