Our team has received the award for the best poster at the 3rd International Online Conference on Polymer Science (IOCPS).

The poster “Abiotic surface degradation induced by ozonation on poly (lactic acid) (PLA)/poly (butylene adipate co-terephtalate) (PBAT) blends” was named the Best Poster at the 3rd International Online Conference on Polymer Science. This event focuses on biobased, biodegradable-compostable, and recyclable Polymers and it is sponsored by the open access journal MDPI Polymers MDPI (ISSN 2073-4360; IF: 4.9).

The results presented by Natalia Kołcz are part of her Master’s thesis “Analysis of the aging processes of biodegradable polymer compositions”. Her thesis developed in collaboration with MATS and the Institute of Polymer and Dye Technology (Łódź University of Technology) under the supervision of Dr Anna Masek.

These findings also contribute to Karen Dayana Gutiérrez Silva’s doctoral investigation, supervised by Óscar Gil Castell and José David Badia. Gutiérrez’s discoveries focus on controlled degradation technologies to accelerate abiotic degradation and increase the valuation of bioplastics at the end of their service life.

Congratulations to all the authors for this great recognition!
