The Ministry of Science and Innovation has awarded the research project “Assessment and future of creativity and creative thinking in the Spanish education system”.
Within the framework of the State Programme for the Promotion of Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer, the project “Assessment and future of creativity and creative thinking in the Spanish education system" (EVACREA2022) will investigate the different domains of creativity in primary and secondary education students, as well as the practices and perceptions of teachers at all educational levels. This analysis will be used to support instructional and didactic changes that serve to enhance the educational space for creativity and the educational benefits of transdisciplinary attention to aspects such as divergent thinking, problem-solving or verbal expressiveness. The project, directed by CDC members Joan Josep Solaz Portolés and Antonio Martín Ezpeleta, has a markedly interdisciplinary nature, with the participation of other CDC teachers (Carlos Bernardo Gómez Ferragud, Yolanda Echegoyen Sanz, Vicente Sanjosé López and José Javier Verdugo Perona) and two specialists in creativity, Francisco Javier Corbalán Berná and Mercedes Ferrando Prieto from the University of Murcia.
