This project pursues the integral development of a conversational agent (chatbot) that monitors remote physiotherapy treatment through an instant messaging service by means of a simulated conversation that is similar to natural language, automated, and that reminds, informs and instructs the patient on when and how to perform it. In this way, it is intended to facilitate compliance and encourage adherence to home treatment of EMS disorders requiring physiotherapy care. The proposal includes the design of the intervention, implementation of the tool and validation with a clinical trial. The target population for the experimental study will be elderly patients with the aim of ensuring compliance and adherence to remote physiotherapy interventions, therefore improving clinical outcomes, increasing quality of life, limiting travel, optimizing physical and human hospital resources, and reducing social and health care costs.
