The Physiotherapy in Aging Processes Group has its research laboratory at the Faculty of Physiotherapy of the University of Valencia.

It performs clinical and functional evaluations of the elderly using the latest technology in motion capture (Optitrack systems), measurement of muscle strength, reaction forces on the ground with dynamometric platform and measurement of pressures with baropodometric platforms and pressure blanket.

The Group also has instrumentation for gait and running evaluation with Optogait, inertial positioning systems and Kinovea.

It also evaluates bio-psycho-social aspects in the elderly. One example is balance, which is key for the development of both basic or daily life activities and complex activities, and in the prevention and decrease on the number of falls.
