✏️For yet another summer, the team of archaeologists and restorers from Amics del Museu de Menorca will continue excavating a group of domestic spaces in the northern part of the site.

TORRALBA D'EN SALORT
Late medieval/modern/contemporary building.
Work camp where you will learn the archaeological method and learn about the prehistory and history of the island of Menorca from professionals in the sector. For three weeks, we will combine excavation work at the site in the mornings with laboratory practices, workshops and cultural visits in the afternoons.
THE SITES
Torre d'en Galmés is one of the largest Talayotic settlements in the Balearic Islands. We will excavate a Talayotic house to find out what life was like in the village at the end of prehistoric times. There are always surprises at this site.
Torralba d'en Salort is known for its monumental taula enclosure. The project focuses on the excavation of a peasant dwelling abandoned in the 18th-19th century. We will try to learn about the history of the building.
WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
* Students of archaeology, history, history of art, humanities, etc.
* Professionals from other disciplines interested in learning about archaeological methods.

PROGRAMMING
Excavation work at the site is combined with laboratory work in Maó. In addition, this programme is completed with cultural visits, workshops and conferences.

ACCOMMODATION IN MENORCA
If you do not have accommodation in Menorca, we can arrange a place for you to stay in the centre of Maó. It has a cost of 200 euros for three weeks.
