Professor of Ancient History, Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Valencia.                          Archaeologist and bioanthropologist. PhD in History and Archaeology. Master's degree in Bioanthropology with international mention, . Member of the ÀTROPOS Research Group at the University of Valencia on death in Antiquity. Director of University Microcredentials, University of Valencia: UNIVERSITY MICROCREDENTIAL "RESEARCHING POMPEII: INTERDISCIPLINARY COURSE IN HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND HERITAGE and NEW TECHNIQUES FOR INTERPRETING AND RECOVERING FUNERARY ARCHAEOLOGICAL HERITAGE. Director of the Pompeii (Italy) research project on the archaeology of death in Pompeii, the necropolis of Porta Nola and Porta Sarno. Co-director of the research project on Roman funerary archaeology in the necropolis of Via Ostiense, Rome (Italy). Director of bioarchaeological research in the Early Christian Basilica and Necropolis of Son Peretó, Manacor (Mallorca). Director of bioarchaeological research in El Torrejón de Gátova, an Iberian site. Member of the Committee of Experts of the European Project: Landscapes of War, for the research and cataloguing of the military and civil heritage of the Spanish Civil War. I have also directed other international research projects in Italy: Portus Roma. Study of the Portus tombs. Ecole, Ecole Française de Rome. Project directed by Evelyne Bukowiecki. Alife, (Italy) (2010-2014), director of the research of the Samnite necropolis of Alife, in collaboration with the Soprintendenza per I Beni Archeologici di delle province di Napoli e Caserta. Segni, (Italy) (2012-2014) Director of the research of the Roman necropolis of Segni in collaboration with the British School at Rome and Museo di Segni. Falacrinae/Citareale. Lazio, Italy (2007-2009). Director of the study of the perinatal tombs of the late-antique necropolis of Falacrinae. British School at Rome, Universitá di Perugia. Research stays in École française de Rome, British School at Rome bsr.ac.uk  y Institut für Archäologien – Universität Innsbruck. Associate Professor at the Department of Archaeology, University of Brno (Czech Republic). He co-directs doctoral and Master's theses at the Department of Archaeology, University College Cork, Ireland, and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Author of more than a hundred national and international publications in various languages, French, Italian, English, as well as native languages. Co-author and editor of 4 books. He has taught numerous courses, lectures, and workshops on death in antiquity and the archaeology of death. He is also a professor of Master's degrees at the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Brno (Czech Republic), the University of York (UK), and the European University of Valencia. He has made more than 100 presentations in international forums: Anthropological Society of Paris, British School at Rome, University College London, Southampton University, Universitá la Spienza Roma, Spanish School of History and Archaeology of Rome, Parco Archeologico di Pompei, Eurac Research, Bolzano, Masarykova univerzita Brno, Czech Republic, Joint Research Centre, European Commission, Ispra (Italy) etc. Member of the Governing Board of the Official College of Doctors and Graduates in Philosophy, Letters and Sciences and President of the Archaeology Section from 2010 to 2018. Curator of the "DIE IN POMPEII" Exhibition of the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society of the University of Valencia. Principal researcher of the research project Analysis of Privileged Iberian Cremation Urns using Computed Tomography 2021-2026 (Research Group: GIBI230)

Research Grant from the Municipal Archaeological Service of Valencia SIAM (2004). Director of more than 100 archaeological interventions since 2002
