Our teacher Carmen Aranegui will give a conference on 23rd July in the Auditorium of the Archaeological Museum: "The Lady of Baza turns half a century without losing without losing its relevance".

The city of Baza remembers its most illustrious and universal bastetana, the Dama de Baza, from the 14th to the 22nd of July with a special programme that is of a ludic, cultural and educational nature. The programme is entitled 'Week of the Lady of Baza'.

The fifteen activities offered have the Iberian sculpture as the central axis, trying to make it more present in the whole city and to involve the population in the celebration of the population in the celebration of the anniversary of its discovery on 20 July 1971 in the necropolis of Cerro Santuario. And in order to achieve a greater impact of these activities, this year initiatives of a commercial and gastronomic nature have been incorporated, involving around thirty local entrepreneurs with the 'Iberian Market' with the 'Iberian Market' and the 'Iberian Tapas Route'. In addition to these, there will be archaeological workshops for children, an Iberian parade through the city centre, a staging of the the city centre, a staging of the funeral ritual of the Lady, the awarding of the first edition of the 'City of Baza International Poetry Prize' and the now traditional and the now traditional guided tours of the archaeological sites and museum, conferences and musical performances.
