BIPSIA takes part in the 2023 International Conference on Psychology and Education (CIPE)

In June 2023, the 11th International Conference on Psychology and Education took place under the title Psychological well-being and digitalisation: the great challenge of today’s psychology.

The Scientific Association of Psychology and Education (ACIPE), continuing its work in the dissemination of psychoeducational science, and hosted its 11th International Conference on Psychology and Education in Valencia from 26 to 28 June 2023. This year’s event was organised by the Universitat de València, under the direction of Full Professor of Developmental Psychology Francisco Alcantud Marín.

International authorities in the field participated in the conference, giving plenary lectures.and expert panels were held, such as ‘cyber-psychology: educational and health fields’ or ‘Mental health in educational contexts.’

Seminars and papers were focused on the following topics:

  • neuroeducation;
  • assessment and counselling;
  • socioemotional development and affective education;
  • educational digitalisation;
  • family;
  • teaching and learning process in formal contexts;
  • promotion of cohabitation (violence prevention);
  • ageing challenges; and
  • developmental and educational implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the evening of 26 June, researchers from the Research Group on Psychosocial Well-being in Childhood and Adolescence (BIPSIA) gave lectures on socioemotional development and effective education. María Jesús Cava Caballero’s lecture was entitled ‘The perception of love, poor use of the internet and cyber-control behaviours in young couples’ and Laura Carrascosa Iranzo’s lecture was entitled ‘Sexist behaviours and intimate partner cyber-violence in adolescent cyberbullying aggressors’.

BIPSIA presented two further papers entitled ‘Family climate and violent conducts in adolescent cyberbullying aggressors’ and ‘Relationships between online risk behaviours and peer cyber-victimisation and cyber-aggression.’
