This project aims to analyse the relationship between school violence (bullying) and intimate partner violence among adolescents, to explore the joint prevalence of both problems, and to analyse the extent to which some personal, family, school and social variables may be risk factors for adolescents’ involvement in these types of violence, as aggressors or as victims.
This aim of the project is to study the prevalence of cyberbullying among adolescents from Valencian secondary education centres and to determine the influence of the individual, family, school and social variables of cyberbullying, and the consequences that arise from this problem. A prevention programme was developed to prevent and reduce cases of bullying and cyberbullying in Valencian schools.
The project developed in 2014-2015 focused on analysing the mental health of victims of cyberbullying in the Valencian Community, being a pioneer in addressing this growing problem. The project was based on a sample of 1,062 adolescents, aged between 12 and 18, assessing different indicators of psychosocial well-being.
