ARMAQoL organized a informative seminar to the updating methodology for the research on quality of life
On 8 February 2024, a 6-hour formative course recognised by the SFPIE of the UV took place in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy. With an interdisciplinary and international character, it had the objective of integrating knowledge around the most recent advances in methodology, especially in longitudinal research with large databases.
Specifically, international contributions were made by Prof. Tomás Caycho from the Universidad Científica del Sur or Ximena Llerena, from the Universidad Catòlica San Pablo, both universities in Peru. And state contributions, such as those of Prof. Albert Sánchez-Niubó from our department of the same name at the University of Barcelona, with whom we coincided as guest researchers at the Kondo Lab at Kyoto University, studying social determinants of health and harmonisation of large databases in the centre with the greatest worldwide recognition in the field. We also had Profs. Irene Fernández and Zaira Torres from our group as speakers. Among the participants were Francisco García, director of the Computational Biomedicine Unit (CIPF), Jordi Sanjuan, postdoc researcher at Econcult and doctoral students and professors from various departments of the Faculty interested in updating their knowledge in methodology.
In this short video of less than 2 min we have a sample of the scope of the conference:
