On 13 July 2022, we visited the Príncipe Felipe Research Centrel (CIPF), with whom ARMAQoL has an agreement as we share the very same motivation to promote research with a gender perspective, as well as a strong commitment to integrate this perspective in strategies, programmes and projects..
There, we attended a seminar by Dr  Marianne Cooper,researcher at the VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab of Stanford University. Her works combine basic and applied research to promote women as leaders through the diagnosis of the barriers and the development of innovative solutions for change..
In her seminar “Breaking the culture of sexual harassment”, Dr Cooper offered us a general perspective of the problem, of its incidence within the work environment and the cultural norms that allow it to happen, as well as how leaders can identify harassment in their organisations and address it.
We would also like to thank Deborah Burks who gifted us the poster of Maryam Mirzakhani, the Iranian mathematician who is recognised as the first woman to be awarded a Fields Medal.
