#ElMur is a project that has been working on the recovery of the democratic memory of the Community of Valencia since 2018. From the beginning, the project has developed in a series of podcasts with media displaying, broadcasted by À Punt Media and Plazaradio. Within this transmedia strategy, #ElMur was conceived in an exhibition format–images, stories, and objects that explain the most recent history. The exhibition curated by Carlos López Olano and Eduard Torres was displayed at the Palau Joan de Valeriola, headquarters of the Chirivella Soriano Foundation, between December 2022 and March 2023. In the catalogue you can find the thematic and graphic description of the exhibition, along with the history about the origin and the evolution of #ElMur. Furthermore, research and reports in which the historic memorialist path is reflected on from different perspectives are included, as well as addressing the state of the Democratic Memory, the recent advancements in the research about Albatera’s concentration camps, the update on the phases and processes of the victims’ common graves recovery, and the foundation of the Plataforma de Asociaciones de Familiares de Víctimas del Franquismo de las Fosas Comunes de Paterna (Platform of Organisations for Victims’ Relatives of Francoism in the Common Graves of Paterna), besides the public policies of memory in the case of Castellón.
