Línies d'investigació

  • The formation of the teaching staff of science. Improvement proposals. Analyse if the teaching staff that participated in programs of formation and research in didactics of science have included or not in their educative practice the proposals for the teaching and learning of science of said courses and the differences in their teaching from other teachers.
  • Education for health. Research in Education for Health, Gender and Eco-didactic Gardens, through studies, projects and development of materials in the different areas of health (attention to inequality, emotions, conflict solving, violence, addiction, environment, diet…) applied to the integral formation of the student body and the teaching staff.
  • Difficulties of learning and design and evaluation of didactic sequences of science. Analysis of understandings of students and teachers and the school manuals and education resources; design and evaluation of sequences or didactic units of science that promote the conceptual, procedural and axiological learning of the students.
  • Social scientific questions CSC and critical thinking in scientific education. Use of history of science and the relationships science-technology-society (CTS) to scientifically literate and motivate the student body, teaching the nature of science, contextualize it, promote the argumentation and critical thinking and question the pseudoscience.
  • Teaching of science for the examination in preschool, primary school and secondary school. Use of methods based in the examination and research oriented to the teaching and learning of science  in the stages of formal education (second cycle of preschool, primary school and secondary school). Adaptation of said methods to the particularities of each stage (Reggio Emilia, Interest centres, Corners, Projects…).
  • Neuroscience applied to scientific education. Study of the relationship between the functional mechanisms of the brain associated with the learning and teaching of scientific concepts through models (using embodiment), didactic methods and educative technology. Study of the transference of knowledge about the neuroscience area to teachers and students.
  • Education for sustainability. Research in Education for Sustainability and Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS) for its attention in the education system and the formation of the teaching staff, from its holistic vision to the different interrelated issues (responsible consumption, human rights, new energetic culture, measures against pollution, climate change, resource exhaustion, degradation of ecosystems…).
