Synthesis of heterocyclic nitrogen compounds and subsequent study of their chemical reactivity. Study the ability of the prepared compounds to coordinate with different cationic and/or anionic species and study the possible applications of these interactions. Based on this knowledge, the possible pharmacological activity of the prepared compounds will be studied.
- Development of new synthetic methodologies for preparing heterocyclic nitrogen compounds.
- Reactivity study of the compounds prepared: Acid-base properties, reactivity towards nucleophiles and electrophiles. Functionalisation reactions.
- Interaction studies of the prepared heterocycles with cationic and/or anionic species as well as with biomolecules. Sensor applications.
- Study of the possible pharmacological activity of the compounds prepared.
