Description

The trans-making project aims to establish a multilateral network of research and innovation staff active in the fields of place-based artistic activities as a space to create alternative narratives for social, economic and democratic renewal.
It will investigate and experiment with placemaking to actively contribute to the democratisation/well-being of society, educating and empowering disadvantaged individuals and minorities through research and production in the connection between art and new technologies.
The objective is to strengthen research capacities, through the exchange of knowledge and expertise between academic and non-academic partners from Europe and third countries in a shared research programme focused on: collecting, documenting / exploring, experimenting / performing / designing. Through this research and innovation programme, the consortium, academic and non-academic partners, aims to encourage links between art and culture, economy, democracy and innovation at EU level and beyond. To foster entrepreneurial skills, risk-taking adaptability and innovation capacity (economic, social and democratic). And it will actively contribute to the education and empowerment of disadvantaged people and minorities through research and production between art and new technologies.
The project, through its consortium, will foster a better understanding and knowledge exchange between the scientific community, stakeholders and policy makers. This will be achieved through the respective networks of the partners involved. The ultimate goal of trans-making will be to establish a long-term collaboration between the partners in order to have a worldwide scientific and innovative community dedicated to research, (including art-based research), innovation, education activity in the subjects concerned by the project.
