It is a three-year transnational project focused on the Mediterranean and carried out within the framework of the European Union's Med Programme (INTERREG IV B) with the support of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Instrument for Assistance to Pre-Accession (IPA).

Description

Sostenuto aims to strengthen the competitiveness and capacity for economic and social innovation of the cultural sector in the Med area, facilitating the transformation towards new economic and social models. This should encourage decision-makers, country planners and funding bodies to consider the economic potential and innovation capacity of the cultural sector.
Sostenuto consists of testing the application of innovative practices in the cultural sector, defining the conditions for its transfer and promoting its dissemination in the Med Space and beyond. The project will focus more specifically on the design of innovative methods of cultural organization and management.
Thus, the following experiences will be tested within the 4 laboratories: incubator, artisan clusters, local systems of non-monetary exchange and strategies of territorial governance of culture.
The work of these laboratories will be analyzed in order to build an explanatory model, which will be disseminated in the Med space and beyond, favoring the appropriation of new methods of cultural organization and management, improving the competitiveness of the creative sector and enhancing its integration in the design of territorial public policies and employment.
