Lucia Intruglio

Lucia Intruglio, an activist for the rights of the Palestinian people from the association Assopace Palestina, coordinated the arrival of the only Italian stop in Messina (Sicily) of the 'Freedom Flotilla' in 2016. The 'Women's Boat for Gaza' is composed, both in crew and passengers, only of women recognised internationally for their commitment as activists.
Lucia Intruglio also worked with the Freedom Flotilla in 2015 and 2018.
Between 2018 and 2023 she was in the West Bank to see the dramatic situation faced by the Palestinian population in the refugee camps.
She is a member of the UNESCO-UV Chair's 'Network of Women for Peace in the Five Continents'.

Lucia Intruglio, attivista per i diritti del popolo palestinese dell'associazione Assopace Palestina, nel 2016 ha coordinato l'arrivo dell'unica tappa italiana a Messina (in Sicilia) della "Freedom Flotilla". La "Barca delle Donne per Gaza" è composta, sia nell'equipaggio che nei passeggeri, solamente da donne riconosciute a livello internazionale per il loro impegno come attiviste.
Lucia Intruglio ha collaborato con la Freedom Flotilla anche nel 2015 e nel 2018.
Tra il 2018 e il 2023 è stata in Cisgiordania per vedere la drammaticità della situazione a cui va incontro la popolazione palestinese nei campi profughi.
Fa parte della "Rete delle donne per la pace nei cinque Continenti" della Cattedra UNESCO-UV.
