The event took place on 14 October 2024 at the 2P04 classroom of the Department of Applied Economics of the Universitat de València
On 14 October the conference 'Economía social en la práctica' ('Practical Social Economy'), organised by Aula Empresocial and funded by the Generalitat Valenciana in collaboration with ESAFOM took place in the 2P04 classroom of the Department of Applied Economics of the Universitat de València. This activity offered a combination of theoretical content and real experiences from the sector, and is part of the cycle of entrepreneurship workshops promoted by the Aula.
The conference started with the talk 'Motivación para emprender en economía social' ('Motivation to be a Social Economy Entrepreneur'), taught by Andrea Rey, Bussiness Management assistant professor. After that, Antonia Sajardo, Applied Economics full professor, taught the lecture '¿Qué significa emprender en economía social?' ('What does it mean to be a Social Economy Entrepreneur?'), where she delved in the bases and values of this bussiness model.
From 8:00 p.m. onwards, a pannel discusion took place in which participated Helga Figueroa, CEO of Koira Adiestramiento Canino, and Diego Albizu, secretary of Okambuva, who shared their experiences in the entrepreneurship process in the framework of social economics. The moderator of the panel was Professor Antonia Sajardo.
The event ended with an interactive activity managed by Antonia Sajardo, where she encouraged the public to actively reflect on the contents discussed.
With this new conference, Aula Empresocial restates its commitment to training and the effort to raise awareness on social economy and promoting meeting spaces between the academic field and the entrepreneur, all this in collaboration with the Generalitat Valenciana.
