This event took place on 14 October 2024 at the Díaz Pintado Centre in Burjassot.

On 14 October  the workshop 'Emprendimiento en Economía Social' ('Social Economy Entrepreneurship'), organised by Aula Empresocial of the Universitat de Valencia and funded by the Generalitat Valenciana, in collaboration with ESAFOM, took place in the Diaz Pintado Centre of Burjassot. This activity gathered people interested in becoming entrepreneurs from the values of social economy, combining academic reflexions and practical experiences.

The event started with two lectures: La motivación para emprender en empresas de la economía social' ('Motivation to be an Entrepreneur in Companies of Social Economy'), by Andrea Rey, Bussiness Management assistant professor of the UV, and 'Emprendimiento y sostenibilidad' ('Entrepreneurship and Sustainability'), by Emili Altur, manager of CEMEF SLU. The moderator for the session was Antonia Sajardo, Applied Economics full professor of the Universitat de València.

Then, Antonia Sajardo ofreció la conferencia “¿Qué significa emprender en economía social?”, en la que se abordaron las claves conceptuales y prácticas de este tipo de iniciativas empresariales. La moderación estuvo a cargo de Andrea Rey.

The conference continued with a panel discussion. The participants of this activity were Helga Figueroa, CEO of Koira Adiestramiento Canino, and Diego Albizu, secretary of Okambuva, who shared their trajectories in the field of entrepreneurship. This session was moderated by Antonia Sajardo.

To close the event, Antonia Sajardo directed an interactive activity which allowed the attendees to reflect and debate about their own projects and interests in the field of social economy.

Aula Empresocial restates its commitment with training, transfer and promotion of more sustainable, solidary and people based business models.
