The event took place on 21 June at the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València
On Fridat took place the 2nd Conference on Self-Employment of the Universitat de València, a meeting space to reflect on entrepreneurship and the reality of self-employment. The conference, carried out in collaboration with Aula Empresocial, and with an important institutional and academic participation.
The event was hosted by the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València and was inaugurated by Mauricio Forero, representative of Colombia Nos Une, organization which also backed the event along with the Colombian Consulate in València.
The first lecture was taught by Antonia Sajardo, professor of the Department of Applied Economics and researcher of the Polibenestar University Institute (UVEG) witha presentation titled 'Explorando el emprendimiento: el trabajo autónomo' ('Exploring Entrepreneurship: Self-Employment').
Then, there was a panel discussion on technical lectures moderated by Antonia Sajardo. The participants were Salvador Montesinos, professor of Financial and Tax Law of the UVEG, and Manuel Alegre, professor of Self-Employment and director of the Chair for Self-Employment, who adressed the labour an social security regime of self-employment.
The conference ended with an enriching debate amongst the attendees, restating the commitment of the Chair with disseminating and analysing self-employment from a fiscal, economic and social perspective.
