The event took place on 18 September at the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València
The Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València hosted the 3rd Conference of the Chair for Self-Employment, a session for exploring strategies and tools for autonomous entrepreneurship. The conference was organised with the collaboration of Aula Empresocial and with the support of Asociación Por Ti Mujer, the Generalitat Valenciana and other organizations commited with promoting self-employment.
Lucy Polo, president of the Por Ti Mujer Association, and Manuel Alegre, director of the Chair for Self-Employment and professor of Labour at the Universitat de València, were the people responsible for the inauguration.
The session started with the lecture of Antonia Sajardo, full professor of the Deparment of Applied Economics, titled 'Naturaleza y formas de emprender: el Trabajo Autónomo' ('Nature and Entrepreneurship Methods - Self-Employment').
Then, there was a pannel discussion on technical lectures by Pilar Alguacil, professor of Tax Law and director of Aula Empresocial, who adressed the legal and fiscal aspects of self-employment; and Manuel Alegre, who delved into labour implications and social security. The panel was moderated by Antonia Sajardo.
This event brought students, professionals and people interested in becoming entrepreneurs together, and is one of the many activities of the Chair, with the objective of approaching citizens to a complete vision of the self-employment phenomenon.
