On 20 November the BESTT programme ended with the closing session and awards ceremony for the winning teams. The three finalists presented their projects and at the end of the session, the director of UVemprén D. Rafael García, awarded the prizes to the winning teams. During the day there was a presentation on "Product development: search for funding and initial steps" by Professor Victor Cossich of the University of Calgary (Canada).
The first edition of the BESTT programme takes place within the framework of the international programme of educational innovation in university entrepreneurship "UVemprén Aprèn" sponsored by Santander Universidades, and aims to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation through work in interdisciplinary and international groups to create a technological product with application in the area of sports science and related areas.
All participating students, after receiving specific and transversal training, have worked in teams in a multicentric way to generate an innovative business idea focused on a sports assessment service. In addition, during 7 weeks of work, they have received training on entrepreneurship, business creation, infographic design and oral communication.
Eight teams were formed with members from the three participating universities, each supervised by two professors from the partner institutions: D. José Ignacio Priego from Universitat de València (Spain), D. Felipe Carpes from Universidade Federal do Pampa (Brazil) and Dª. Andresa Germano from Technische Universität Chemnitz (Germany).
The 8 teams presented high-level projects and 3 of them were finalists and had to present their projects in front of everyone at the closing ceremony. The teams participating in the BESTT programme were:

-The Bracelets -Duwoman
-HealthMasters -Health providers
-Kids Kinetherm Analytics -The Unstoppables
Students from the following degrees have participated: Degree in Physiotherapy, Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Double Degree in Pharmacy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Master in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Prevention, Rehabilitation and Sports Fitness, Medicine, Neuromechanics Research Group (GNAP)...
Finally, the winning team of the 1st edition of the BESTT programme has been "Impactwatchers" presented by Hänel Syraja, Julio D'Pascuale, Andrio Gerard and Juan Pastor, with a first prize of 1.500 euros, and the finalist teams that will receive a runner-up prize of 700 euros have been "Health providers" presented by Luiza Freiberg, Thaline Mello, Anna Gradoli Antich and Julio Cibrian Ruiz and "Perform Perfect" presented by Lukas Verderber, Marieli Paz, Ana Lamberty de Morais and Ana Covadonga.
In addition, all the students who have attended the trainings and presented the project will also receive 50 euros in a gift voucher for Tenda de la Universitat de València.
