The XXII ASEPUC International Meeting brings together over 250 accounting scholars in València

The Universitat de València opened on Wednesday the XXII ASEPUC International Meeting, organised by the Department of Accounting, bringing together over 250 accounting scholars until 12 June under the theme "The role of information in society: new challenges for the accounting discipline"

The XXII ASEPUC International Meeting kicked off on Wednesday and runs until 12 June at the Facultat d'Economia of the Universitat de València, under the theme "The role of information in society: new challenges for the accounting discipline".

The opening ceremony was chaired by the Rector, Juan Luis Gandía, together with Rafael Sebastián, Director General for Science and Research of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities; Emma García, President of ASEPUC; Francisco Muñoz, Dean of the Facultat d'Economia; and Araceli Mora, Co-Chair of the meeting.

Organised by the Department of Accounting, the conference brings together over 250 participants and 140 papers, with plenary sessions, research presentations and panel discussions on digital transformation, sustainability and transparency. The closing lecture, on Friday 12 June, will be delivered by Santiago Durán, President of the ICAC.
