CIRIEC-Spain announces the 7th edition of the “CIRIEC Awards for the best studies in Social Economy”, aimed at graduates and doctors who have passed their Final Degree Project (TFG), Master's Thesis (TFM) or Doctoral Thesis (TD) in any of the universities of the Valencian Community in the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25
Applications can be submitted in PDF format to the email address “ciriec@uv.es”, indicating “CIRIEC Awards” in the subject line, with a deadline of 30 September 2025.
As indicated in the rules of the call, the research must be presented in Valencian or Spanish, and on subjects related to the social economy and related areas (cooperatives, social enterprises, third sector, associations, NGOs, social innovation, social entrepreneurship, CSR, volunteering, etc.).
The works must be unpublished, must not have been published and must not have been awarded prizes in any other call for proposals. They must be accompanied by the reports and/or evaluations made at the time by the corresponding tutors or directors.
Prizes for each category
Each of the three categories may have different prizes. The prizes for the best Doctoral Thesis will be between 1,600 and 1,100 euros, between 1,100 and 800 euros for the TFM prize, and between 800 and 600 euros for the TFG prize.
In the event that the Jury awards two or more works in the same category, the prize money will be divided between the winners. The Jury may increase or reduce the number of prizes in each of the categories and may even declare them void.
Jury of experts
The Jury is made up of seven experts, chaired by the President of CIRIEC-España. The Jury's decision will be made public on the CIRIEC-Spain website and will be communicated personally to the winners during the second half of October, while the awards ceremony will be held at a public event in November.
The “CIRIEC Awards for the best studies in Social Economy” are sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment of the Generalitat Valencia.
