The Scientific Documentation and the History of the different scientific disciplines have traditionally gone hand in hand, both being necessary to approach the other.

Scientific Documentation provides historians with techniques and tools of great interest to their work: its finding often need to be interpreted in the context of intellectual, socio-economic and cultural conditioning factors of the historical development of the disciplines addressed.

Thus, in the University of Valencia, the Documentation and History of Science have developed together from its origins, being linked both in teaching and in research.

In this broad context, our line of research currently includes several different themes and specific ongoing projects.
