Blended Intensive Programme-BIP

It is a combination of short-term physical mobility (usually 5 days) with a virtual component using innovative teaching methods.

This BIP took place in September, students from the Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy), the Uniwersytet Opolski (Opole, Poland) and the Universität Johannes Gutenberg de Mainz, members of the Forthem network, participated in the course, as well as students from four Ukrainian universities (Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Lviv Polytechnic National University y Poltava State Agrarian University). This programme was organized by professors Belén Fouz Rodríguez and Sergi Maicas Prieto from the Department of Microbiology and Ecology.

Both, theoretical and practical sessions were conducted at the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences facilities. Students participated in activities at the Museum of Natural History (Burjassot Campus) and the Spanish Type Culture Collection of the Science Park (Universitat de València). The program ended with a visit to the historic center of Valencia and a scientific-cultural activity at the Oceonagràfic Aquarium.
