The 4th Edition of the Summer School “Challenges in Data Science: Big Data, Biostatistics, Artificial Intelligence and Communications" starts June 27.
This new edition of the Summer School bets for spatial analysis, image processing and entrepreneurship.
Health, cybersecurity, urban management, journalistic investigation, spatial analysis or image and language processing constitute some of the most cutting-edge vertices in the Big data field. All of them will be present at the fourth edition of the Summer School Challenges in Data Science: Big Data, Biostatistics, Artificial Intelligence and Communications, organized by the University of Valencia. In its commitment to entrepreneurship, this year includes the second edition of the Start-up workshop.
From a multidisciplinary approach, the School of Engineering, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication jointly with the Vice rectorate for Internationalisation and Multilingualism and the International Relations and Cooperation Office organise a course aimed at deepening the management tools and applications of a sector in exponential growth, and its economic, technological and communicative implications. The Summer School is taught in English and will host a maximum of 25 students, from the Universitat de València and abroad.
The Summer School has professors from various universities, prestigious professionals in the field of data management and managers of companies that have developed applications. The program includes three sessions aimed at promoting data-centric business projects, tutored by experts in the field of start-ups and professionals who have created their companies. In addition, the celebration of the Summer School coincides with a new edition of Databeers, on Wednesday June 29, an event organized since 2016 and aimed at the social dissemination of data science.
