This Summer School is aimed at PhD students in Pedagogy and Didactics, as well as senior students in Primary and Secondary Education who are in their last years of study. It is also opened for Primary and Secondary School Teachers.
The Summer School aims to promote Service Learning (SL) as an innovative pedagogical approach in teacher training, encouraging values like responsibility, collaboration, and civic awareness.
The Service-Learning (SL) approach is an internationally recognized pedagogical method based on learning pathways in real-life contexts. It enables the introduction of active and alternative teaching methodologies, reconfiguring the spaces and timing of teaching and learning. The collaborative dimension of learning through SL is widely acknowledged as one of the most effective conditions for educational success and remains a significant formative aspect due to its ethical and social implications.
SL boosts student motivation and engagement while being applicable across various fields and educational levels, from school to university. Experts will share their experiences and feedback on implementing SL initiatives. Selected participants will take part in five days of activities and training.
