On May 18th, 2024, during the European Accounting Association's 46th Annual Congress held in Bucharest (Romania), Professor Araceli Mora Enguídanos was elected as President-elect of the European Accounting Association (EAA).

Araceli Mora, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the Department of Accounting of the Universitat de Valencia’s Facultat d’Economia, will be a part of the EAA Steering Committee from May 18th and will then become the association’s President in 2025. The EAA has more than 2,200 members from countries all over the world, mainly European, and its objective is creating a framework for exchange that guarantees and promotes the development of research, teaching and social impact of the accounting discipline. In addition, the EAA aims to develop relationships with all other professional associations and regulators in the field of corporate and institutional reporting.
