The continuous advancement of scientific instrumentation enable the continuous development of a large number of experimental techniques, the application of which can provide a very detailed information of the composition of the substances, of the intrinsic characteristics of chemical compounds and its reactions.

These advances in experimental techniques allow us to face the new demands of the current Spanish society, in the different environments that require chemical analysis and/or characterisation of compounds which cover fields such as: quality control and the safety of products made in all types of industries (ceramics, paints, plastics, toys, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, food, etc.), food analysis, environmental analysis, clinical analysis, etc.

For this, the Doctoral Programme in Experimental Techniques in Chemistry is dedicated to the development of doctoral thesis based on basic and/or applied research through the use of experimental techniques of analysis and the most current and future characterisation.
