Regulations on the deposit, evaluation and defence of doctoral theses

If the overall grade is "distinction", the examining board may award a cum laude mention if there is unanimity in this respect. To this end, the members of the examining board must place their votes in sealed envelopes, which will be sent to the Doctorate School, where they will be opened. In the event of unanimity, the secretary of the Doctorate School must issue the corresponding minutes, which will be included in the academic transcript. Each member of the examining board must also submit to the secretary of the examining board his/her vote in a sealed envelope indicating whether he/she considers the doctoral thesis to be worthy of an extraordinary prize. The secretary of the examining board will also send these envelopes to the Doctorate School.
