CALENDAR OF THE DOCTORAL PROGRAMME 2023-2024

The programme has established a calendar for certain specific procedures, namely the following:

Calendar for Specific Procedures:

  • Submission of the Doctoral Commitment Document for students admitted in the academic year 2023/2024, until 31 MARCH 2024.
  • First application period for the recognition of training activities, until 5 APRIL 2024.
  • Second annual assessment academic year 2023/2024, submission of documents until 2 FEBRUARY 2024.
  • First annual assessment academic year 2023/2024, until 14 JUNE 2024.
  • Applications for extension of studies for the academic year 2024/2025, until 14 JUNE 2024

It includes the submission of the following documents depending on the start date of the doctoral studies:

  • Students who started doctoral studies in the academic year 2023/2024, must submit the following documents by 14 JUNE 2024:
    • Research plan
    • Annual monitoring report for the academic year 2023/2024.
    • Activities report of the PhD student for the academic year 2023/2024.
    • If applicable, second application period for the recognition of training activities.
  • Students who began their studies in previous years must submit the following documents by 14 JUNE 2024:
    • Annual monitoring report for the academic year 2023/2024.
    • Activities report of the PhD student for the academic year 2023/2024.
    • If applicable, second application period for the recognition of training activities.

  • Second annual assessment academic year 2023/2024, February 2025.
  • Second annual assessment academic year 2022/2023, submission of documents until 2 February 2024.

Calendar for other ordinary procedures:

However, there are other ordinary procedures that do not have a specific start date, such as the application for thesis submission, application for modification of research plan, and others.

For these types of non-specific applications, the Academic Committee, at its meeting of 18 April 2018, established the following deadlines for submission of applications:

LENGHT OF STUDIES

Full-time enrolment

The length of doctoral studies, if you enrol full-time, shall be a maximum of three years.
The Committee responsible for the programme may grant the extension of this period for a further year, which may exceptionally be extended for an additional year, up to a non-extendable total of five years.

Part-time enrolment

In the case of part-time studies, these may last for a maximum of five years from the date of admission.
In this case, the extension may be granted for two more years, which, exceptionally, may be extended for a further year, up to a non-extendable total of eight years.
The time frames are counted from the date of admission to the programme until the application for the submission of the doctoral thesis.
