Title

1st INTERNATIONAL DOCTORAL RESEARCH WORKSHOP IN MARKETIN

Target

PhD students developing their marketing research.

The participating public can also be extended to other doctorates and doctoral students from other Spanish or European universities.

Objetive

Contribute to the development of the doctoral thesis of the students by interacting with other students and senior researchers in the Marketing area and obtaining feedback. The workshop will offer students the opportunity to publicize the advances in the development of the doctoral thesis, sharing their research with other students, thesis directors and professors.

Description

The workshop will have a workshop character with the active participation of national or international students and researchers or professors who will be explicitly invited, guaranteeing a minimum number of attendees.

If the number of students is high, the interventions can be grouped thematically or by applying some other criteria in different sessions. In each session there will be a 'rapporteur/moderator'.

All participants will receive a diploma accrediting their participation and/or attendance.

The workshop will be mandatory in the Doctorate in Marketing: all students must participate at least once, preferably in the middle of their training period, although it will be the director of the Doctoral Thesis who will determine the moment. It will be possible to attend a maximum of two times.

Characteristics

The workshop will have two parts:

1) PREPARATION: each student, with the approval of the thesis director, will send a document with their intervention, according to the formats provided (template or template, with a maximum of 20 pages including everything) and its presentation. This documentation will be in the Virtual Classroom available to the participants and presenters/moderators before the start of the event.

2) DEVELOPMENT OF THE WORKSHOP:

to. INTRODUCTION: the coordinator of the doctoral program in marketing or a 'rapporteur/moderator' will introduce the workshop.

b. PRESENTATION: each student will have a maximum of 15 minutes to explain their research, they will introduce the advances in their research, necessarily raising theoretical and/or methodological issues to be discussed. The rapporteur / moderator will take note of the questions and issues that she raises.

c. DEBATE-DISCUSSION: the rapporteur/moderator will summarize the interventions, raising the issues that have been raised and directing the debate for a maximum of another 15 minutes. The doctoral student will take note of the feedback

d. Eventually, senior researchers and/or recent doctoral students will participate to report their experience regarding (i) development of the research (ii) publication
