Dr Silvia Barona Vilar, main researcher of the project JUSOST, has participated in the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Seville, inside the framework of a series of conferences organised by the cited institution.

The series was opened on 11 September, 2025 with the intervention of the professor Barona, who gave the titled conference “Vulnerabilidad, vulnerables. Una mirada necesaria desde la Justicia”.

In his conference, Dr Barona reflected on the role of Justice in front of the vulnerability situations, providing a critical and necessary view to confront the challenges that the protection of people and collectives in risk are suggested in the current social and juridical context.

With this inaugural conference an academic programme reuniting specialists from the juridical field was presented with the purpose of promoting the dialogue and reflection on key issues for the development of the doctoral research in Law.
