Professor Dr Andrea Meroi has participated in the International Seminar “Civil justice, between guarantism and judicial activism”. The seminar was celebrated at the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València as part of the scientific activities from the project “Sustainable justice in situation of global change (JUSOST) – CIPROM 64/2023 (GVA).”
Dr Meroi intervened in this seminar as a guest doctor from the JUSOST project for her academic visiting on January and February. During this period, she will participate in various research and debate activities alongside members of the researching team.
Her participation in the seminar allowed attendees to reflect on the current challenges of civil justice, especially in the existing tension between procedural guarantism and new forms of judicial activism, all within a context marked by profound social, juridical and technological transformation.
The visit from professor Andrea Meroi reinforces project JUSOST’s international projection and contributes to academic and scientific exchange on the creation of justice models that are more sustainable, pro-guarantism and adapted to contemporary challenges.
