Professor Esplugues, member of the MedArb excellence research group, was invited by two Honduran universities in order to gice lectures and master classes on the topic of alternative dispute resolution, especially referring to mediation.

Professor Esplugues gave two lectures at the Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras, Tegucigalpa campus, And another one at the Universidad Autónoma de Honduras. During his sty in Honduras, from 1 to 5 June 2015, professor Esplugues had the chance to have an interview with several representatives of the Conflict Resolution and Arbitration Centre of the Chamber of Commerce of Cortés and also with its president, Erick Josue Spears Ramos, who is a lawyer, and finally with several acadenuc authorities in UTH and UNAH such as Ana Patricia Elvir, lawyer and director of the Law Degree, and Bessy Nazar, lawyer and Dean of the Law Faculty. In all these interviews the posibility of starting or deepening relations with the MedArb group. During his stay in Tegucigalpa, professor Esplugues also had the chance to meet Roberto E. Cardona, General Director of the Merchant Marine of Honduras and aslo Hugo López, Director of Training and Education of COCATRAM (The Central American Comission for Sea Transport).
