The Geomorphology Laboratory of the Department of Geography of the Universitat de València has a double teaching and research dimension. It has fungible material (capsules, pipettes, bags, test tubes, markers, sieves and ...) and various reagents to perform physical and chemical analysis on soil samples. It is equipped with a smoke extraction hood, benches, stoves, several weights of different precision, refrigerators, sample agitator, showcases, hood with rain simulator to analyze soil erosion and several pools with water supply. It also has collections of rock and mineral samples. In it are taught various subjects of the Degree of Geography and Environment such as Geomorphology I, Geomorphology II, Biogeography, Hydrology and Introduction to Physical Geography, among others. On the research side, analysis of texture, humidity, color, organic matter and chemical composition of samples from various geomorphological environments (slopes, karst, fluvial, lakes, deltas and floodplains) are carried out.
