Suspension of the work contract due to risk

  1. Who can apply?

Employees of the Universitat de València who are registered in the General Social Security Scheme.

  1. When should it be requested?

When the risk assessment carried out by the technical and medical staff on the working conditions of the worker determines that it is not possible to adapt or change the employee’s job, the worker may request the suspension of the contract due to occupational risk during pregnancy.

 

  1. What procedures are required?

STEP 1: determining whether there is occupational risk

This is where the procedure begins and where the mutual insurance company will assess whether or not there is a risk during pregnancy.

Documentation to be submitted by the worker to the mutual insurance company by e-mail valencia@umivale.es or in person at the Umivale office, C/ Colón 82, València:

In case of doubts related to STEP 1, contact the UV Health and Safety and the Environment Service.

STEP 2: will only begin when the mutual insurance company recognises the existence of risk during pregnancy. In this phase, the application for the economic benefit will be processed.

Step 2 will only begin when the mutual insurance company informs the interested party and the SPMA, in writing, of the existence of risk during pregnancy.
