The Ontinyent Campus hosts the third day of the UV Welcome ceremony

During Thursday 23 October, students of Ontinyent Campus have approached to the information booths of the university services and the student associations that have reunited at the main point of the campus to celebrate the 2025 UV Welcome ceremony. Next Tuesday 28 October, the last session of the Welcome will be held at Burjassot Campus.

Students of the Ontinyent Campus UV of the degrees of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Business Management and Administration, Nursing, Preschool Education and of the La Nau Gran have attended to the Welcome ceremony to collect information on the activities and resources that Universitat de València gives them for this academic year. The staff of the university services and members of different student associations have moved to the campus to tell them about their initiatives, such as learning and language certification, the travel grants, the proposals of VoluntariatUV, the library services, cultural proposals, sport activities... Moreover, attending students also enjoyed orxata and lemon slush in the resting area with musical ambiance of Gary Moves.

During the Welcome, the Vice-Principal for Lifelong training, Educational transformation and Employment, Ángeles Solanes, delegate for Students, Marcos Durá, and the Principal of the Ontinyent Campus, José Cantó, have greeted staff of the information booths, together with the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training Ana Maria Botella; Ontinyent mayor Jorge Rodríguez; and the councillor for Education and Sports, Fernando Gandía.

The UV Welcome ceremony, organised by the Student Council Branch through the Sedi - Information and Promotion Service for Students, has become a main event for starting each academic year. It helps students, particularly first-years learn about activities to enrich their university experience and make full use of Universitat de València resources and services.

The UV Welcome Ceremony at Ontinyent Campus had the participation of the Student Council (AGE), UV Language Learning Centre, UV Library, UVCulture and UVSociety University Culture Service, Sports Service, the Information and Promotion Service for Students (SEDI), Libraries and Documentation Service, Languages Service, International Relations and Cooperation Service (Forthem and Erasmus+), Equality and diversity Unit, Quality Unit, UVdisability, UVjob, ADEIT and UVsustainability. These associations and student collectives also participated: Bloc d’Estudiants Agermanats (BEA), Saó-UV and Valencian Students Union.

Burjassot: new date for the UV Welcome ceremony

The UV Welcome ceremony will finish next Tuesday 28 October, at the Burjassot Campus. The ceremony on this campus, was going to be on 14 October, but it was postponed due to weather circumstances. In this new date, the university services and student associations will be reunited at the gardens of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, to inform students of the campus of all the activity programme for the academic year 2025-2026.
