The deadline to participate in the 19th edition of the Universitat de València’s Creative Writing Awards is April 28. There are six modalities of submission: poetry in Valencian, poetry in Spanish, prose fiction in Valencian, prose fiction in Spanish, theatre and short film screenplay. The winner of each category will receive 1.000 euros and will have their work published.
Students from Valencian universities under the age of 35 enrolled in the current academic year can participate. Students from the school of Dramatic Arts of Valencia can also participate in the theatre's modality. Works can be made by an individual or a group.
The competition, whose aim is to promote literary creation among the students of the Valencian universities, is organised by the SeDi Information and Promotion Service in cooperation with the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication, the Literary Society, the Poetry Club, the Performing Arts Club and the Cinema Club from the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sport, Edicions 96 and the collection Teatro Siglo XXI.
