The AIMPLAS-UV Chair participates in the 30th Anniversary of the UV Institutional and Enterprise Chairs conference at the ETSE-UV.
On 18 April, through an invitation from the Transfer and Innovation Service and Uvcàtedres, the AIMPLAS-UV Chair was announced during the conference of the 30th Anniversary of the UV Institutional and Enterprise Chairs celebrated at the ETSE-UV.
The conference began with an opening ceremony by María Vicenta Mestre Escrivá, distinguished Principal of the Universitat de València, followed by a brief exhibition of the UV Chairs from the Science department.
The main block of the conference was a round table focused on “University Chairs as an instrument for the promotion of research and knowledge transfer”, moderated by Olga Denia (UV) with the participation of the following speakers:
- Carmen Botella Mascarell from the Chair for Digital Gender Gap.
- Pablo Mir Gómez from the Capgemini-UV Chair.
- Adrián Suárez Zapata from the Würth EMC Chair.
- José Badia Valiente from the AIMPLAS-UV Chair.
Multiple aspects about the AIMPLAS-UV Chair were presented during the round table, such as its history and training, its objectives and the different activities offered. Currently, the activities carried out by the Chair are:
- Awards for the best undergraduate and Master’s degree final projects (TFG and TFM) on sustainability and circular economy in the plastics industry.
- Training grants to attend events and conferences.
- Internships and work placements.
- Grants for research initiation.
With all these initiatives the AIMPLAS-UV Chair wants to promote the training, research, development and transfer of knowledge in the plastics industry.
