6th FISABIO Summer School in Biomedical Research and Public Health

The FISABIO Summer School presented by the FISABIO Academic Chair and the Department of Genetics of the University of Valencia is addressed to students, professionals and practitioners of biomedical research, public health and other biological and health sciences.

FISABIO is a research foundation of the Valencian Health Department that unites several health sciences research centers in the region, including the Center for Public Health Research (CSISP), and continues the tradition of holding an annual summer school started by CSISP in 2011. Since 2015, the Summer School modules are credited as postgraduate certificates of the University of Valencia (3 ECT credits per module). The School benefits from funding by the University of Valencia FISABIO Academic Chair.

This FISABIO Summer School will be held from the 20th of June to the 8th of July 2016 and will focus on the area of Genomics and Health, with a strong hands-on component and direct experience of the application of genomic science in a Public Health research center.

The school will consist of 3 independent modules that may be taken individually and will include theoretical lectures, research seminars, and practical sessions. The summer school will take place at the FISABIO-Public Health research center of the Valencian Health Department and will be taught in English by researchers from FISABIO, the University of Valencia, the Spanish Biomedical Research Consortium for Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP) and other leading international institutions.

The cost of each module is 300 euros.
