The director of the Chair, Aurora Pedro, participates in the Autumn University of Enguera

On 28 November, the Valencian town of Enguera will host this training day organised by the Universitat de València. This meeting aims to promote tools to face the new challenges of the 21st century through education and tourism and, specifically in the case of Enguera, gastronomic tourism.

This conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Casa de la Cultura of Enguera. The opening ceremony will be attended by the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society of the UV, Ester Alba; the mayoress of Enguera, María Matilde Marín; the head of the Training Department of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, Javier Solsona; the coordinator of the Autumn University of Enguera, Miguel Requena (UV); the director of the IES de Enguera and representatives of the Valencian Provincial Council and Caixa Popular.

Afterwards, Aurora Pedro Bueno, professor of Applied Economics (UV) and director of the Chair for a New Green Transition, will give the conference: “Gastronomy, Territorial Sustainability and Local Economy”.

After this, the seminar will continue at the IES Enguera with a practical class on gastronomy, in which Evarist Miralles, trainer of the CdT Turisme Comunitat network, will deal with “cuisine committed to the territory”. Finally, Mireia Pérez (Yapadú Producciones) will give the talk “No School Tomorrow”.

The Autumn University of Enguera (UOE) has been organised by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society of the Universitat de València, in collaboration with the Valencian Provincial Council, Caixa Popular, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the City Council of Enguera and the IES Enguera.
