2nd edition of the University Microcredential in Plastics and Environmental Education
From the AIMPLAS-UV Chair, we open the second edition of this microcredential meant for teachers of Primary, Secondary Education, and Professional Training who would like to update their contents about plastics, recycling, and sustainability to incorporate them into their lessons.
The training –organised through the Permanent Training and Educational Innovation Service (SFPIE) of the Universitat de València– is conducted by Alicia Monleón Ventura and Serafín García Navarro, and combines the scientific-technical knowledge of AIMPLAS · Technological Institute of Plastics with the teaching experience of the University.
¿What is covered during the course?
- Context and introduction to plastic materials: evolution, classification, properties, fabrication and processing.
- Trends, raw materials, processes and legislation: innovation in reciclying, sustainable materials and national and international regulatory framework.
- Sustainability through good practices and classroom dynamics: projects and didactic resources to work on environmental education in class.
Practical information
- Modality: online, with an opening synchronous session (5 October) and another closing session (18 December); the rest of the course is aynschronous. – Duration: 30 hours (3 credits ECTS).
- Period: from 15 October to 18 December 2026.
- Registration: from 14 to 30 September 2026.
- Price: 60 €. – Places: 50, by a rigorous order of registration.
- Requirements: to be a Primary, Secondary or Professional Training teacher; to have the Master in Secondary School or the CPC; or to be studying a degree that gives you access to these jobs.
