The Faculty of Law hosts the 7th Conference ‘Good governance and transparency in SMEs’

On Wednesday 5 October, the Faculty of Law will hold the conference on transparency and good governance in Foundations, organised by the Pagoda Chair of the Universitat de València and the Valencian Department of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality, in collaboration with the Inter-University Institute for Local Development.

The Miaja de la Muela Hall of the Faculty of Law will host the 7th edition of this symposium. The opening ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. with the participation of the co-director of the Pagoda Chair, Jorge Castellanos, and a representative of the Valencian Department of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality and the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Law.

María José Vañó, Director of the University Institute of Social Economy (IUDESCOOP) and member of the organising committee of the conference, will open the conference sessions. Professor Vañó —Department of Business Law ‘Manuel Broseta Pont’— will focus her speech on the transparency of Foundations under the title “Between being and having to be”.

The conferences will continue with Ana Tórtola, from the Fundació Nova Feina, who will focus on “Tools for the good governance of Foundations”. Isabel Peñalosa, from the Spanish Association of Foundations, will address “The abc of Good governance and transparency of Foundations”. Emili Altur, from the Fundació Novaterra, will deal with “Social and labour integration with values”. Finally, Luis Trigo, from the Fundació el Secret de la Filantropia, will share with the audience the talk “Good practices and experiences in social responsibility”.

The conference is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
