The Green Horizon Chair promotes a poster event on process control applied to water and waste sector

The morning of 14 May 2026, the co-working room at the ETSE of tge Universitat de València hosted a poster presentation event organised by the Professor Ángel Robles, supported by the Green Horizon Chair: Water-Bioenergy Nexus, focused on process controlling applications in facilities linked to wastewater and organic waste recovery.

During the activity, students of the Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering presented four technical posters, developed by teams, in which different strategies of tracking, automatizing and control applied to treatment and recovery processes within circular economy and bioenergy fields were tackled.

The event enabled the students to publicly expose their technical proposals and defend them in front of a court comprised of M. Victoria Ruano and Josep Ribes, professors and researchers from the CALAGUA-UV group, along with representatives from the Green Horizon Chair in the FACSA and SITRA companies, José Antonio Magdalena and Patricia Negro.
The court valued over all the technical quality of the projects, the ability of practical applications of the proposals and the effort made by the teams to include concepts of advanced control and digitisation. In real processes of the environmental sector.

Acknowledging their participation, all the students received a little resent by the Green Horizon Chair. Additionally, the winner poster was awarded with a gift card of 50 euros for LaTendaUV, intended to be shared between the three participants of the team.

The Chair highlights this type of activities that promote students’ encouragement, applied learning, teamwork and connection between university training and real technological challenges of the water sector, bioeconomy and waste recovery.
