PROTECPOL (Chair for Citizen Protection and Local Police) tackles training, cultural, research and scientific dissemination activities oriented towards permanent knowledge and diffusion of Security in the City of Valencia thanks to the collaboration of the UV Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation.

The topics to be tackled are varied; among them, there will be some related to:

• Road Safety.
• Environmental security and conflicts.
• Food safety.
• Security related to housing and urban planning.
• Citizen complaints.
• Security related to technological phenomena, health, emergencies...
• Domestic and/or gender violence.
• Hate Crimes and Diversity Management.
•  Conflict resolution: police mediation and the use of alternative methods for conflict resolution.
• Proximity Policing: Community policing
