On October 25, 26 and 27, the Manuela Ballester Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences hosts an exhibition on "Textile Cartographies" within the framework of an international project where the creation of textile maps helps us to observe places, inquire about its history, look for signs, meanings and alternatives. Textile cartography is a way of telling stories, expressing ideas, drawing attention to the sustainability of the planet and its humanity (Agenda 2030). Reinvented maps with fabrics and threads to give visibility and voice to people.
The project in Valencia is coordinated by the members of the IUCIE Mª Dolores Soto González and Ramona Rodríguez López.
October 25 program:
5:00 p.m. Presentation of the Project by its coordinator Teresa Torres de Eça.
6:00 p.m. Inauguration and meeting with the CIGE-2021-049 research group.
In addition, the group itself will lead a meeting with the students on October 27 at 11 am in the Manuela Ballester room to elaborate the "Mantra da Paz".
